ANDREAS GRAANT : SOLSTICE
Users Search Info Links Contact
Standing guard with the tilt of the axis
inclined to the Sun
This calm moment
that never begun
Mid between the world and the dream
Things are no longer what things seem
Separated from life after birth
Like a long lost rock, fallen to earth
We are a nation out of control
a league of gentlemen playing one role
Life grows in natural waves into hate
An army of men who found out to late
Midwinter into the loss of my time
A slippery path of unspeakable crime
A man locked in tight, inside his head
How fall asleep when I cant go to bed?
Like a flooded river loving the rain
or a tortured soul
begging for pain
Splinter a season
seems easy enough
I made the mistake
you made it though
But at the solstice of life
where Midwinter
shines his crystal grin
And life's only pleasure is sin
and the summer of youth
shouts out its unspeakable truth
It burns like a Midsummer's sun;
A life nipped in the bud
before it begun
I look back in anger
and forward in fear
If it never was yours
will it disappear?
How separate the fact
from the lie
a whisper now, what once was a cry:
Bound by the shadows
of time
How could you leave me
When you never were mine?
Standing guard with the tilt of the axis
inclined to the Sun
This calm moment
that never begun
