This dreaded acronym stands for Internet Service Provider - often your local telecom company, which connects you to the Internet, by whatever means (broadband, phone line, ADSL, cable etc).

They are the first link in the chain which brings you the World. If you cannot log in to ANY site (and, in this case you will not receive ANY email either) - this is due to your local connectivity failure - call your ISP and not Netcells ! On the other hand, if you are connecting to other sites but not Netcells - there is a problem with Netcells server (in which case we are all in trouble) - this is a very rare occurrence - all cases are logged on >www.netcells.net/system/. Your ISP will usually give you an email address, as part of their package (for example: me@virgin.net, moi@free.fr, io@virgilio.it) - this is useful for troubleshooting, but bear in mind that if you change your ISP you will not be able to continue using that address. If you you own a domain name you should always use that name for your email (example: me@myname.com). |
