Why are my pictures marked as 'unprocessed' ?
Digital photography captures a great amount of data.
That data is kept in so-called RAW file and it can be used to greatly enhance an image - bring out the shadow detail, for example - the only problem is that it takes time and expertise.

That is why your web-resolution images should be regarded as unprocessed, uncropped, basic representations of what those images can be and marked as such (they are).
