Netcells Blog is a great free facility for all Netcells Users and a very important way of building your data and increasing your site's value.

Blog can be multiplied by connecting to any site, including your own, but, remember - the most important version of your blog is the one on the Netcells site - it brings valuable new traffic to your site and it is continually improved - at no cost to yourself !

Our Blog is optimized for and very efficient with the search engines - your posts should come up in web searches in a matter of days if properly written.

Using Blog is dead easy - as usual, you have instructions under the green Info button top right, also check this from FAQ time to time - our functionality evolves... remember that, unlike other blogs, we give you on-going support, if you get stuck or something is not working ›contact us!

ADDING/CHANGING your PROFILE PIC and HEADER IMAGE
blog now shows default Profile and Header images.
Profile Pic shows top left, to change it simply upload (NUZ > Organize > Files) a jpg image called exactly nc_blog_ipic_X.jpg, where X is your Netcells User ID Number (UID), make that image 120px by 110px
the Header Image is the big image across the top of your Blog, to change it upload (NUZ > Organize > Files) a jpg image called exactly nc_blog_X_1.jpg, where X is your Netcells User ID Number (UID), make that image 1600px wide by about 600px high.

ADDING A NEW BLOG POST
log in to your User Zone: NUZ > Publish > News
> click +1
> add your text (title + content)
> click Save Changes (you can choose where the Blog shows: Netcells+MySite, Netcells, MySite)
it is important that you start and continue blogging as soon as possible, you can always go back and edit your blogs later - add pictures etc. remember to put as much specific keywords as you can into the Title - do not call your blogs "New Work" or such - include specific information! example: NOT My Miami Experience, much better would be: My Adventures at 2013 Art Basel Miami.

ADDING A NEW TEXT ITEM
The Text items are mostly used in your Cell and/or your site, but they can also be shown on Blog - this is useful for non-time-specific information you want always visible - your cv, client list, for example, or talking about the Blog itself.
Type your text in NUZ > Publish > Text - tick Blog only or Copy on Blog - the Text Item will automatically show up on Blog, unless Switched Off (grayed).

ADDING IMAGES TO BLOG'S IMAGES SECTION
There are currently 3 types of images on Netcells, some you upload in NUZ > Organize > Files (Site and Blog images) and some you select from NUZ > Organize > Folders
The Images recently uploaded or updated will show first on the Blog.

ADDING IMAGES TO BLOGS AND TEXT ITEMS
To upload Images go to NUZ > Organize > Files
Once an image is uploaded it will show in a list, click GetImageCode, copy the code (image tag), go to your Blog or Text item and paste in the image tag.

ADDING LINKS TO BLOG's LINKS SECTION
To add Links go to NUZ > Publish > Links
Links will show in your Blog's Links menu

ADDING LINKS TO BLOG POSTS AND TEXT ITEMS
Once you have a Link added NUZ > Publish > Links, click GetLinkCode, copy the code, go to your Blog or Text item and paste in the code.

ADDING VIDEOS TO BLOGS AND TEXT ITEMS
Upload your videos to one of the specialized servers, then go copy the code from that site and paste it into your Blog or Text item.

PUBLISHING PICTURES FROM PHOTOGRAPHERS FOLDERS
Go and find the Folder you have access to on NUZ > Organize > Folders
click Folder name, use image numbers or arrows to browse through pictures, to publish or edit a picture click Edit button then tick Publish box, add Notes, Comments etc

ADDING SOUNDS
To upload Sounds go to NUZ > Publish > Sounds

ADDING YOUR WEB SITE ADDRESS
Go to NUZ > Account > Profile
click Edit type your site address in Web Site field.

SETTING/CHANGING BLOG NAME (that's what shows at the top of your Blog page)
In NUZ > Account > Profile - type/edit the BLOGname field - it can be any word or phrase, including non-Latin characters. If BLOGname is empty Logname will be used (that is the username you use to log in to the User Zone - only letters and numbers, no spaces or other characters !), if Logname is empty your Name will be used.

The best way of adding the Netcells blog to your site is to simply include it a as Link, for the reasons mentioned above, but you can also duplicate your blog on your site and style it any way you like (that will be at your expense, our designers can help you with this).
