secure connection - on HTTPS:// protocol means that the data transfer between you and the server is encrypted - it cannot be read by a third party, even when intercepted. any time you are sending sensitive data, such as your login, password, payment details you should make sure this happens over the HTTPS connection. to have a secure connection you need to have SSL Certificate and a dedicated IP - neither of which comes free.

Netcells server has 2 SSL Certificates - on https://server.netcells.net, and, on https://netcells.net, so that you can securely connect to your web space and cPanel (https://server.netcells.net:2083), your email (https://server.netcells.net:2096) and your User Zone ((https://netcells.net/nuz), those feature come free to any Netcells User. if you try to connect to your site via https:// (https://mysite.com) connection you will get a security warning, unless you purchase and set up a SSL Certificate for your domain name. you might still be able to connect to your site, by adding an exception in your browser, contact us if you need help with that. |
