Xclose
1 correctly named: do not use spaces or reserved characters: \ + * ? [ ^ ] $ ( ) { } = ! < > | : . ; ' " / % in the filename 2 in correct format: .jpg, .png, .gif 3 in correct colour space: RGB(8bit/channel), not CMYK (that is used for printing) first, upload the image file and check it is uploaded correctly - the file should show when you click on its thumbnail in your Upload folder (NUZ > Organize > Files > FileListUploader) once the image file is uploaded you can use it straight away in your Blog or Text item simply by copying and pasting the image source code (click getImageCode next to the thumbnail). however, to make the best use of your images add them to your database - of site images or blog images. here is how to add image to your Site images database - those images will also come up when anyone is searching the Netcells site: on Netcells your images filenames must have your name prefix, in lowercase, like: wilson_Airplane1.jpg, chapman_carpark.jpg but, you enter only the name into the database, ie: Airplane1, carpark (no name prefix or .jpg) this is is done automatically - in your Upload Folder you click Add2Site link next to an image thumbnail - this will open an Edit page for that image - you just need to enter the image information - especially the keywords! if the image already exists in the database then the link next to its thumbnail in Upload folder says EditDB. please do NOT leave broken image links on your Cell as this is causing a disservice to yourself and to our network - please observe this rule or your account might get downgraded. common errors: file is a .tif, .jpeg, .JPG, file is in CMYK format filename contains spaces or brackets filename is missing your name prefix (for site images) the database entry is messed up - it contains your name prefix or .jpg (for site images) |
