sending unsolicited emails in bulk is known as spam - a major (and growing) problem on the Internet and a big headache for the server services providers.

spam coming from a server often leads to the particular IP address (generally shared by many accounts) being put on spam blacklists and as a consequence being blocked by various recipients. if you had your email blocked or rejected for no good reason you probably know how annoying it is - well, don't do this to yourself and other innocent Users sharing your IP! to deal with this problem the Server has a limit on the number of messages that can be sent in an hour, and it will temporarily block your account if you go over that. plus, various Hosting Packages (Package is a particular configuration of your account) have similar limits, which differs according to a Package. so, make sure you are not sending more than the limit for your account (70 messages is generally ok) in one go. divide your list into batches if need be. remember, those limits can be modified, if you have a legitimate reason for sending hundreds of unsolicited messages talk to us and we will find a solution. |
