we all know, the "I did not get your email" stories.

well, it is easy to check in your cPanel whether or not your email was delivered (although not if it was read). in cPanel go to: Email > Track Delivery there you have a detailed list of each email you send (data is kept for 10 days) with information on what has happened to it. to search for a single recipient enter that person's email in the box and press Run Report. being delivered does not guarantee it is read - it might be that your email gets blocked by the recipient's spam filter, either due it its settings (it will be in the Spam folder) or more sinister reasons, like your IP being blacklisted - in that case you need to contact the recipient's server administration to get your address unblocked. note that when your email is blocked by a specific domain the email sent to you from that domain will not be delivered either. the reason for that is that our server's spam control sends a message to check for the existence of the sending server and when it does not get the reply it rejects the original incoming message, assuming it is spam. |
