Frequently Asked Questions

It is very important that your Domain Names' Owner contact details - address, phone and especially email are kept up to date. This information is required by ICANN (icann.org) and known as WHOIS.
Please remember that under the terms of your registration agreement, the provision of false WHOIS information can be grounds for cancellation of your domain name registration.

To change Owner or any other Data attached to your Domain Name(s) log in to your NUZ (Netcells User Zone), go to Account > Domains, then click the Domain Name to edit its details. Records are updated manually, so it might take some time before your change is effectuated.
If you own many names we can also set up an account for you where you can edit the world records directly.

If you are changing the Owner (while leaving the Name with Netcells) the current Owner has to agree to the change, of course.
If you want to change both Owner and the company holding the Name you are effectively transfering it away - see ›FAQ87 for that.
