A Subdomain is a web address derived from a Domain name, ie. mail.netcells.net is a Subdomain of the Domain netcells.net, myblog.tumblr.com is a Subdomain of the Domain tumblr.com.

Most commonly used Subdomain is www.somedomain.com, however, this is only a convention, Domain names do not have to be accessed via the www Subdomain. You can easily set up Subdomains on your Netcells hosting account, if you think such a thing is useful to you. In cPanel, go to Subdomains and fill in the relevant boxes.
