here is your Question #313 Xclose

our server firewall will block suspicious activity, such as, repeatedly trying to log in with incorrect password. the block is on all connections coming from the same IP address - for example, you (or rather - your device) trying to log to any email account or any web site on our server - a simple way to check if you are blocked is to visit NetCells.net web site.

note that the programs on your local devices connect automatically at specified intervals. if one of your email accounts is incorrectly set all your connections will be blocked. it is therefore a good idea to delete or disable all the email accounts you are not using. managing software on your local devices is your responsibility, we are not able to help you with that - search the web for answers or contact people who sold you those things in the first place. one way to find the problem is switch off all your email accounts but one, and, to make sure you have the right password, log with that email address and password to your webmail account first - see the link below. NetCells support relates to our server(s) and the services running on our server(s). ultimately, the one and sure way of avoiding the problems mentioned above (as well as many other problems, such as, malware and losing your data) is to use your email directly on the server, by logging to your ›webmail, which we encourage you to do - that is, in principle, no different to using one of the big "free" email providers, except all data remain under your control. |
