You must Upload an image before it can be published anywhere, this is done in NUZ > Organize > Files

choose your uploader option and click +1 to upload. Before you upload an image be sure it is in web-compatible format - RGB colourspace, .jpg, .png or .gif and named correctly - .jpg not .jpeg, no good having file named file.jpg when it is in fact in Photoshop format (.psd). Use standard latin characters and numbers a-z+0-9, do not use spaces, accents or reserved characters. If you own the image and your site is so configured you might have to 'sign' your image, by beginning the filename with your surname in lowecase followed by an underscore (_), example: if your name is Anderson name your tree picture anderson_tree.jpg. In that case, do not forget to add metadata to your image - your name, web address, copyright notice etc (in Photoshop: File>File Info). When an image is uploaded it will show, with a thumbnail, in your UploadFolder. You can add that image to any Blog or Text item simply by copying and pasting the image source code (click getImageCode next to the thumbnail). However, to maximise use of the image and make it show on your site you must Add Image to Database by clicking Add2Site next to the thumbnail in the UploadFolder. That will open Adding New Image page where you can add data to the image, make sure you add Tags (keywords) - you cannot store the image without them ! Once the image is in the database it can searched for, selectively shown on multiple sites, indexed by search engines, edited and re-edited, many other operations can be performed on it. Common causes of errors: # filename contains spaces # filename contains non-latin or reserved characters \ + * ? [ ^ ] $ ( ) { } = ! < > | : . ; ' " / % # file is called .jpeg instead of .jpg # image is in CMYK format or RGB 32-bit # filename does not start with your lowercase surname followed by underscore (in case of Site images) # file format is not allowed (.pdf, .psd etc) # you did not add Tags (keywords) to the file when Adding to Database Look for more info in NUZ under the green plus icon top right.
