Even though, strictly speaking, no data stored on a computer connected to the Internet can be considered completely secure (and this also applies to the contents of the device you are currently using !) Netcells User Zone (NUZ) gives you pretty good security and with very little effort you can make that even better.

Security is our foremost concern - we defend your data as we defend ours - we sail in the same boat. Your data in NUZ is fragmented and stored in large database on our private server to which only Netcells has access. Disk mirroring system (RAID) duplicates all data entries and data changes to protect against hard drive failure. We also back up database on regular basis. Your data with us is therefore immune from any disaster that may befall your local machine (flood, theft, technical problem etc). When you access NUZ from any computer, in any location, your connection is encrypted (HTTPS) (don't use "remember password" feature on computers other than your own, log OUT once you finished your session. Even so, we advise you not to store any really sensitive information there in plain form - it is easy to disguise information, according to a scheme known only to yourself, for example say 'cat' when you mean 'dog' and so on. Don't forget that your data in NUZ is only as secure as your password - take good care of that. Don't use silly passwords (your date of birth, you name etc), use numbers plus upper and lower case, join two or more familiar words etc. Finally - please take notice - if you continue showing irresponsible behaviour we will drop you as a User ! |
