if you are a lucky owner of Adobe Photoshop, here is how you can do it: PREPARE WATERMARK 0. open Photoshop and open your image file 1. make a sample image of the right size, make or copy your watermark, add it to a layer floating above your image 1.1 add a single pixel in the corner diagonally opposite of your watermaker (top left if your watermark is at bottom right) 1.2 for transparency, set it on your watermark layer - then Merge Down to a new layer below 1.3 copy your watermark layer - it is now held in your computer memory (RAM)- make sure not to copy anything else after that CONFIGURE YOUR ACTION 2. go to Window > Actions - that will open the Actions palette 2.1 in Actions palette choose New Action > give your Action some meaningful name - you will see the red Record button 2.2 go to your opened image and reduce it to the right size 2.3 paste in your watermark 2.4 Merge Down your watermark layer (ie. Flatten the image) 2.5 go to File > File Info... add the relevant information to your image (at least: Author, Copyright Status, Copyright Notice, Copyright Info URL) 2.6 Save your image file 2.7 Close your image file 2.8 Stop you Action in the Action palette (the red button will go off). so, you have written the Action, now APPLY it! 3. go to File > Automate > Batch 3.1 make sure your correct Action is selected 3.2 Choose your Source Folder 3.3 Choose your Destination Folder (normally the same as Source folder) 3.4 click OK if you have done it right you will perhaps have the rare satisfaction of your computer doing what you want and not what IT wants! |
