Fair enough, modifications and adjustements are often necessary - this is done as agreed with your designer - in one or two modification rounds.

Before you come back to us with site changes it is most important that you understand that web design is not 'fixed' in the way print or furniture design is. Different browsers and different devices (computers, pads, mobile phones) will display your site differently, and, yes, some things will not work. You can accept this fact or you go to great length and expense to provide patches, fixes and work-arounds. Do not rush back with your changes. View your site, over time, on as many systems as you can, ask your friends and associates for their opinion, but do not necessarily accept it unless it is statistically significant (ie. you have asked many and most say this or that). Note also, that while your friends might be fond of this or that device, most of your visitors might be using some different system. And, of course, many things, like text size can be instantly adjusted on various systems (on Windows, to change text size press Control key and roll mouse scroll button, on Mac press Command and + or - key). Netcells User Zone (NUZ) has a function to edit your site's style sheet (CSS). Your site might or might not be configured to take advantage of that. If the former is the case and you are brave enough to play with your style sheet you can completely change the look of your site at any time you like, without any changes to your site's content (text, images, links...) ! You would have to learn a few things but that information is widely and freely available and you can always switch back to the default style, also, you can have 3 different styles and switch between them. The style edit feature is in NUZ > Publish > Sites. |
