If you are not finding incoming email in your WebMail, cPanel account it is probably because you are not logging to the right mail box.

Your username is always your full email address that you use: me@mydomainname.com Many people get lost among their Control Panel (cPanel) options, try connecting directly to your email box on: http://www.mydomainname.com:2095 or, you can also use a secure encrypted connection on: https://www.mydomainname.com:2096 (in the latter case your browser will give you a security warning - this because our secure certificate is in the name of Netcells.net and not yourdomainname.com. The login is your full email address (me@mydomainname.com) and the password is the password you set for that particular email address - if you forgot that just reset it in your Control Panel > Mail > Add/Manage/RemoveAccounts. If you are not getting email to your local computer's mail In-Box, it is probably because your email program is not configured correctly. You need to get right only three things in order to receive email to your local computer: 1. server address - normally this is mail.mydomainname.com - see ›Namecell.net/hosting/ for specific info relating to your Domain Name 2. user name - this is your full email address (example: me@mydomainname.com) 3. password - this is the individual password which protects your individual email account - normally not the same as your site or Netcells User Zone login. You can reset this password easily in your site's Control panel - go to Mail>Add/Remove/Manage Accounts, then click Password on the relevant email account line. Remember that your mail account password is protecting the privacy of your email and the security of your mail server ! Do not use silly passwords (example: if you are Jane Brown, do not make your password 'Jane' or 'Jane1', name of your child or a pet is another bad idea), use a combination of letters and numbers, make your passwords long - 10 characters or more. Do not use dictionary words a passwords as those can be easily cracked. Remember that unscrupulous individuals are waiting to break into your account to send their spam email, if not for other reasons. Please take the security of your site and mail seriously, failure to do so may lead to account suspension, among other problems. |
